THE TARTEIST

You may have noticed by my Instagram that I recently picked up the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Highlighter Palette and Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palettes. I have never owned anything from Tarte, but when I found out they ship to New Zealand I thought I would love to try them out.

These Palettes are probably the most luxurious palettes I have in my collection to date (I am still waiting to get my hands on a few Hourglass palettes for my collection too, mind you) and they totally live up to the hype. I have been reaching for these every morning since they arrived.

The Tarteist Pro Amozonian Clay Palette is what dreams are made of. The eyeshadows are pigmented, they don’t crease and they stay put. They are easy to blend and come in an assortment of rich, stunning colours. This palette is totally up my street.

I find it very difficult to choose which colours I love the most from this palette. Lately my colours of choice have been Indie, Bold, Innocent and Chic and always with a dash of Edgy in the crease. I literally haven’t used anything else on my eyes. I also loved playing around with Drama and Whimsy which really stand out for blue and green eyes and would highly recommend this for anyone. For this look I have used Glam, Bold and Edgy for the crease.

I have not dabbled too much with contour. I like to keep things naturally and subtle, as you may tell. This palette offers everything I needed. I wanted to try different shades, different formulas and be able to change it up daily and have been thoroughly impressed. I have used this more than what I would have thought.

With the quality of these palettes I definitely will be returning to Tarte. I am in need of a few new blushes, mascaras and you know, a few new lipsticks never went amiss. Have you any suggestions for Tarte splurges? How do you feel about these palettes?
