My Secret to a Natural, Glowy Base

I have been trying out Lancome’s Miracle Air De Teint for the past month. Although it is a very thin, liquid foundation it has definitely surprised me. I have found the secret to a natural, glowy base.

Miracle Air De Teint is a very lightweight foundation with powder incorporated into the formula. When the makeup artist described this to me I immediately shied away. I never go for a Matte look. I took a sample away to try for a month so we could see how it feels and I ended up loving it.

First of all the foundation lasts all day. Even with its lightweight formula, my air conditioned workplace and getting oily throughout the day I don’t return home feeling like I really need to wash my face and rid the heavy mess that is sitting on my skin. It looks natural, clear and evens out your skin tone. It does all this without looking like a full, heavy, face of make-up in any way.

The foundation bottle comes with a little dropper which I find easy to ensure I am not wasting product or using too much. I apply this with my Zoeva 102 Silk Finish Brush. I have yet to try this with a Beauty Blender.

I use a concealer to hide any unwanted spots or scars. This would be the only minor drawback of this foundation. It is incredibly light. You can see your freckles through and any spots you may be self conscious about could do with another layer or some concealer. I find this more appealing in a foundation as I love the natural, dewy look. This is important since we are coming into Spring here.

I originally went for the Teint Visionnaire foundation but found this to be too pink in undertone. If you have a cooler, yellower undertone like me this would be something to match you a bit better. I am the shade 01. You can see me wearing this foundation in my latest instagram posts.

Overall I love this foundation, and I look forward to trying the Miracle Cushion Foundation too. I will be testing this out in the hotter months and seeing how it goes. What is your secret to a natural, glowy base?
