Matthew and I got back home from Hamilton late yesterday, after a lovely couple of days with dinner outings, home movies, shopping, board games and coffee. I’m going back again myself this weekend as I don’t feel satisfied with the amount of time I spent with my family, this enables me to head off after work on Saturday and come home again Monday on my day off with no rush for Matthew to return to work on time.

I’m sure you all know how much I miss my home town, so I need not divulge into that too much, but I’m sure you know how much I miss the shopping!

These are my pretty picks (on a budget might I add) from my couple days home. I am loving this colour at the moment, don’t ask me why- Ive never been a girl for reds or pinks, but I guess this is a new chapter.

The first thing that I picked up was this Volcom Carry Purse. It was in the sale bin and the texture initially got me, and the colour too. Then I opened this baby. It is the perfect size, with plenty of slots for bank, loyalty and coffee cards, three slots for ID and photos, a middle flap that has card slots on one side and a coin pouch on the other and last but not least, a little insert for extras that slots right into one of the note pockets. I am totally in love as I have been looking for a decent sized wallet for some time, it was down to half price at $30 and I couldn’t be happier.

I then popped into farmers to pick up an Essie Nail Polish. I had been thinking of a particular colour that I wanted (No outfit is complete without the Essie Varnish to match- thats what Ive been telling myself anyway) and it took a decent amount of time to find it, but I found this one which is In Stitches that comes pretty damn close. It comes out darker than it looks after the second coat which is what I was hoping for and it is perfectly mid-seasonal.

The last thing I picked up was this L’oreal Paris Colour Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Spring Rosette. I know it isn’t spring but this is a great mix of red and pink, a colour that I am clearly infatuated with. I haven’t used this too much but I was very impressed with the pigment, formula and packaging. I am not sure how long lasting this one is but we will wait and see!
