May Beauty Favourites

IMGP0030

This is the first time I have ever attempted a month beauty favourite and it was quite easy to gather these products together. These are the products I always turn to, and so I will give you the run down:

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil– I never fail to apply this to any spots, scars or blemishes I have after washing my face. It works wonders, your spots are gone with a couple days and it leaves your skin feeling nourished, the smell is an acquired taste that took a while to get used to, but it is definitely worth it.

Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer– My face looks forever dull when I forget this, and I don’t know how I got on without it. This primer goes a mile and makes your foundation speed and last a long way. I couldn’t go without this primer in my collection now.

Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Cool Beige– This is right at its end and I am extremely upset about it. This foundation is the best I have ever tried and is perfect for any occasion. It is extremely buildable and you can work it with many different products to get the finish you like. On days off I mix this with moisturiser for a lighter coverage, on nights out I use it alone and build it to the consistency I need. This would be my number one favourite at the moment.

MAC Eyeshadow in Omega– This I use to fill in my eyebrows, but I have also been using it as a base for my eyeshadow on an every day basis. It is the perfect brown to add some class and flair to your make up. It is definitely a must have.

Loréal Paris Perfect Slim Super Liner– Never has eyeliner been so easy. I really struggled with eyeliner before, and I would have never touched liquid eyeliner if not for this. It has lasted super long (and still going) and is incredibly easy to use, everyday I line my eyes with this- if it be a thin line along my lashes or the classic wing my eyes would be bare without it.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara in Extreme Black– I am very lucky to say that every new Estée Lauder product I buy, I receive one of the sample sizes mascara, every time. I am a through and through convert from my Maybelline Mascaras. I haven’t had a reason to buy the full sized product yet, but I would in an instant if my little sample collection ran out.

Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz– I use this every day to set my make up after application, not only that but I also use this throughout the day to refresh my face. The formula with Aloe Vera and Rose Water is insanely refreshing and pleasant smelling also. This never leaves my handbag.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Modesty– I reach for this on most occasions, this lipstick is long wearing, smooth and the perfect colour to go with any outfit. It is the lipstick I go to when I want natural, but lightly improved lip colour. This goes with me everywhere and can be completed with lip glosses for a glossier finish. Favourite lipstick of all time.

Essie Nail Lacquer in Not Just a Pretty Face– Not only am I a fan of this nail lacquer in particular but I am a big fan of Essie in general. I purchased this nail lacquer back in Feburary and have been wearing it every fortnight ever since. It is the perfect, pretty colour if you want a more natural look and I am half way through the bottle! I finish this off with Essie’s No Chips Ahead (Not that it matters, you can’t see the chips with this colour anyway) and you’re pretty in pink and set to go.

Have you ever enjoyed any of these products? Or are you a newbie to favourites like me? Please let me know, I’d love to see.

  • I really want to try out the tea tree oil from the body shop! Always hearing so many great things. Also loving that Essie polish, is it part of the permanent collection do you know?

    • Yes, I am pretty sure it is a permanent one! You won’t regret the Tea Tree, its a wonder worker!

  • I really need to get me some of MAC lipsticks, but sadly they are not available in my country.

    • Oh I’m sorry! Are you able to buy online?

      • Sadly I don’t think so. I’m think on buying some when I go on vacation to another country where I hope they will have what I’m looking for 🙂
But it’s kinda annoying seeing all this cool stuff that I can’t buy 😀

        • Yeah I totally know what you mean, we don’t have too much here in NZ either. Good luck for the vacation!
