LIEBSTER AWARD, A NOMINATION

Screen Shot 2014-04-23 at 7.19.18 pm

I have today, with much pleasure, been nominated for my second Liebster award. I am sorry it has taken me this long to get to the first one, but after the second I felt a nudge (more like a shove) of need to do it. I was nominated by both Vanessa from burn-bright and Annie from anniesbeautyblog.

The Liebster award allows those with less than 500 followers to be recognised where they may not be otherwise. Here are the rules:

Aknowledge the blogger who nominated you. Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you. Give 11 random facts about yourself. Nominate 11 followers with 500 followers or less. Let the bloggers know you nominated them. Give them 11 questions to answer.

And with that I will answer the questions I was given, I have randomly chosen these questions (as in Matthew has picked the questions he likes on behalf- it was great going through them together!), the rest I will pass on to my nominations with maybe a few changes here and there.

Why did you start blogging?

I originally did a journalism degree, I didn’t see it through as I didn’t want to be put under the pressures of acquiring the personality traits of journalism that were not who I was as a person. My blog is my way of expressing my written creativity and discussing the things I enjoy, also as a way of documenting my journey through this vast thing called life.

Who is the biggest influence in your life and why?

I do want to stay away from answers like my mum, my mentors, my friends my partner and so on, so I am going to go with one that is honest. I have been following the bleubirdblog ever since I got into blogging. And that is years ago. Lets say at least five. Not only is James an inspiringly creative, down-to-earth person but she also reflects a lot of the values I hold myself, she probably even helped sculpt my values into what they are today. I could not dream to be like her, but she inspires me everyday to live up to my values and enjoy life. She has the most beautiful home and family and I thank her for her honesty and her content every time I visit that blog. Please go and check her out.

What book are you currently reading?

I am currently (re)reading “If you could see me now” by Cecelia Ahern

What is on your beauty/make-up wish list?

Nars Cococabana Highlighter

Bobbi Brown Moisture rich foundation

Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set

YSL Touche Eclat

YSL Rouge Volupte in NO13

What else are you interested in?

I am extremely interested in art, I love anything creative really, painting/sculpture/drawing/pottery … anything. Also gardening and baking.

What got you into beauty?

I like the creativity of it, but I have always been fairly shy about it.

What are your expectations out of beauty blogging?

I don’t have any expectations other than writing about what I enjoy at the moment. I don’t think I will gather expectations until later on as I am fairly new to all of this.

What do you secretly want to become?
This is only secret to the internet, I cannot wait to be housewife or a stay at home mother, I love the idea of keeping a home and decorating it, keeping a big garden, children and painting. Later on in life I would also like to become a store owner of a little store that stocks simple classic homewares, healthy organic goodness and maybe even a little cafe.

What do you most want to be able to do before you die?

Playing guitar or piano.

What did you last dream about?

I think I actually dreamt about baking for Matthew and him hating it.

Describe your dream day

My dream day would probably be my wedding day (cheesy huh). My parents are both divorced and happily remarried. I have a lot a lot of family, a day for Matthew and I where all my family can be together in a wonderful setting constructed by myself and the people I love would be the perfect day.
