The homeware accents that make our place prettier
These new homeware accents are things I love to look at daily, they make our spaces feel crisp, fresh and on trend- we hope you enjoy!
Recently I decided our house needed some sprucing up. These are things I’ve collected over a little time to add a little somethin-somethin to our house.
First of all I was mostly excited about these cushions I found at one of our department stores for next to nothing. They could definitely do with some extra stuffing but I love this shade of pink which goes perfectly with the overall palette of our little living room!
I also found this pot and ivy plant at the same store (called The Warehouse- not the most glamorous of places but you can definitely find a few cheap goodies!) – the perfect touch for on top of the mantle. Our lounge feels very feminine now, surprisingly it gets many compliments from guests and not-so-many complaints from the Mr!
Our bedroom is forever in need of work, it is mostly a bland space of jumbled, mismatched furniture and we are slowly swapping things out but I’m very happy with this area of the room.
We have recently added these ferns and white pots I picked up from a market and this candle is quite literally the highlight of my nights.
This candle is all I could every wish a candle to be (thats a big statement for me) by Peppermint Grove Australia- I love everything about this from the packaging, the double wick to the beautiful jar. It is large in size, around 350G and their whole collection smells incredible. I chose Freesia & Berries as it’s a very warm but light scent, making it perfect for all times of the year! #notsponsored.
Lastly I always have fresh Vogue on hand (British and Australian) and I also decided I would pick up Tanya Burr‘s book in Whitcoulls a while ago . This is something I got straight into and love the personal approach in which it is written. Obviously blogging and youtube videos are something I’m very passionate in alongside the beauty culture in which Tanya offers some very wise words from experience. Thoroughly enjoying this book.
I hope you enjoyed this little blog post of me introducing my home a little more, it still has a long way to go but we’re getting there.
