Since returning from my holiday (a whopping two weeks where I travelled the country) I have noticed that I am completely at peace with my confidence- both in myself and in what surrounds me.
I have now returned to work and I couldn’t be happier. A place that had caused me stress and tension now is a challenge and one that I am learning to enjoy more and more. I take the good with the bad and I believe in my ability to perform.
I have been away from my computer for these two weeks and dealing with the gorgeous spring/summer of New Zealand. I have been getting into healthier habits, take that any way you like- its all true. I have just finished in my garden and threw a few home made blueberry/mint ice pops into the freezer. I am so pleased spring is here.
What I did want to tell you about in this post, however, are the idols I look up to in terms of inspiration, motivation and drive. There are a few bloggers out there that help me believe that my dreams of living a healthy, comfortable lifestyle are true and obtainable. As you may or may not know, my partner Matthew is an extremely picky eater, he is set in his ways, stubborn, unbudging and I love him dearly- but it does make my choice to live a wholesome lifestyle hard. On top of this I can be lazy, have a very specific taste in style and find it ever hard to fit exercise into my schedule- but I love to cook and garden. Motivation is always a challenge for me. I am easily distracted and everything always seems out of reach as my dreams are so vast, aren’t yours? These factors make fitting in with Matthew complicated, but exciting, a journey I have never been on before. When I find my mind wandering from my goals or finding them blurred I go back to these ladies to help me with the inspiration I may lack.
Bleubird Vintage is an extraordinary lady that I have been following for as long as I have been on the internet, at least five years. She has exquisite style and her tots are the cutest. She was one of the main founders of my love for things natural, whole and quirky. Her journey continues on and I love her blog to bits.
The wholesome cook is a blog that I have been flicking through for only a month, but she hasn’t disappointed yet. I am able to relate to her as she is not a nutritionist- she is just going on plain common sense. Her recipes are outstanding and I can honestly admit I have cooked one of her recipes every night this week.
I stumbled upon My New Roots the other day after searching for ice pop recipes. I have had this blog open on tab since. This gal IS a nutritionist and I really love having her at my fingers. I am extremely interested in nutrition and I am always open to expanding my knowledge about how foods affect the body and mind. I think I’m going to keep this blog open on tab for some time now and I suggest you check her out.
Cheers, thanks for visiting
You’ll hear from me soon
