I haven’t been into beauty that much this month- I’ve been too obsessed with going barefaced in my garden, but I have still been indulging in the Christmas festivities.

I had a family Christmas with Matty’s family this weekend which was a blast, and we ate a little too much. We indulged in wine, had the most beautiful ham I’ve ever tasted paired with roasted vegetables and chicken… and don’t get me started on dessert- luckily Strawberries are in season!

I’ve still been practising the Paleo way and am enjoying it so far, so I thought I would share with you what I have been having in place of my normal milky hot chocolate.

I am no stranger to Chai Lattes, and I’m sure I’ve shared them here before, but if you’re wanting to go down the clean route this is the one for you…

1 to 2 Cups Unsweetened Nut Milk (or Unsweetened Vanilla Nut Milk if you prefer)- I like almond.

1 TSP ground Cinnamon

1 Vanilla Bean Pod scraped out

1/2 TSP ground Cardamon

1/4 TSP ground Cloves

1-2 TSP raw Honey

Heat your milk on the stove, you want it just hot enough to drink.

I put all my ingredients into a blender and mix after that until frothy. You can also mix this in a coffee plunger if you have one- does the same job!

I like to strain mine before adding it to the cup, as it can get very gritty, then sprinkle with Cinnamon if you wish and you’re done!

This is the easiest Chai I’ve ever made, and If I had a coffee machine I would steam the milk on there- but this way works just fine. I also make up batches of my own concentrate sometimes but this is immediate and easy- if you’re in need of a sugar craving crunch.

Hope you enjoyed this simple little post, let me know if you want more!
