Berry Milkshake Smoothie Bowl

I have been making this Berry Milkshake Smoothie Bowl for some time now and it is still my #1 favourite for breakfast, snack or dessert!


This smoothie bowl is so incredibly easy that its ridiculous, but it is also so tasty that it deserves its own post.

I came upon this recipe of my own making one day after I got home from the gym, I needed a snack quick. I wanted sweet, I wanted easy and I wanted my vanilla protein. I decided I would try and whip a few things together and it turned out to be the most amazing thing. It tasted perfect, but not quite like anything I had tried before. This was a mix between a mousse and smoothie consistency with the perfect amount of sweet.

There are only three ingredients for the smoothie itself:

  • Around 1/2 cup of Frozen Berries (I prefer raspberries on their own, but I’ve used mixed above)
  • 1 scoop of Vanilla Milkshake Flavoured protein powder
  • 1 cup/2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk (or vanilla if you prefer- I use Almond Breeze)

You literally whack these ingredients in a mixer and blend until quite thick- it usually goes airy and light, which is just the way I like it. I then top with whatever I like! Some of my favourites are sliced almonds, cacao nibs and dried cranberries for an extra treat.
