I have been making this Berry Milkshake Smoothie Bowl for some time now and it is still my #1 favourite for breakfast, snack or dessert!
“BERRY MILKSHAKE” SMOOTHIE BOWL
This smoothie bowl is so incredibly easy that its ridiculous, but it is also so tasty that it deserves its own post.
I came upon this recipe of my own making one day after I got home from the gym, I needed a snack quick. I wanted sweet, I wanted easy and I wanted my vanilla protein. I decided I would try and whip a few things together and it turned out to be the most amazing thing. It tasted perfect, but not quite like anything I had tried before. This was a mix between a mousse and smoothie consistency with the perfect amount of sweet.
There are only three ingredients for the smoothie itself:
- Around 1/2 cup of Frozen Berries (I prefer raspberries on their own, but I’ve used mixed above)
- 1 scoop of Vanilla Milkshake Flavoured protein powder
- 1 cup/2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk (or vanilla if you prefer- I use Almond Breeze)
You literally whack these ingredients in a mixer and blend until quite thick- it usually goes airy and light, which is just the way I like it. I then top with whatever I like! Some of my favourites are sliced almonds, cacao nibs and dried cranberries for an extra treat.
